A constant juggle between your two villages.

Being a mom abroad is, a constant juggle between building your new village, and not letting go the one you have back home.

A constant juggle between your two villages.

“It takes a village to raise a child” is the famous African proverb that’s constantly mentioned when giving new moms advice. The truth is a village is what most of us lack when we become mothers abroad.

It took me a while to understand, that no matter how many great friends and family members you have back home, it’s very important to find people that feels like sunshine in your new home too, not only for our kids, but for ourselves.

That never means that one village replaces the other. It only means that you’re lucky enough to call two places home. How amazing is that!

That being said… if I could only have a couple more hours a day to give each one the attention they deserve! 😓

How do you juggle both villages?  Comment below with any advice!
